Rhianna James
Head of Deck
After earning her Master’s in Law and Criminal Justice in North Wales, Rhianna moved to Bath, where she worked within the criminal justice system. However, after a year, she was ready for a new challenge, which led her to Crew & Concierge and the world of yachting recruitment.
Coming from a completely different industry, Rhianna quickly immersed herself in yachting, building her knowledge and expertise along the way. She started as a Resourcer in 2022, progressed to Interior Recruiter in 2023, and in 2024, stepped into her current role as Head of Deck. While her main focus is on placing deck crew, she also assists across other departments, including interior and galley, when needed. She thrives on problem-solving and taking on new challenges; just don’t ask her to run a marathon!
Over the years, Rhianna has developed strong relationships with both clients and candidates. Her priority is ensuring clients find outstanding crew while helping candidates secure the right opportunities. She loves getting to know people and understanding what makes them tick.
Outside of work, Rhianna has a passion for travel and the outdoors. She has already explored 18 countries and always looks for opportunities to hike wherever she goes. Growing up, she was a competitive cheerleader, and that passion has stayed with her ever since.
